We cater events of any size and can offer a full staffing and bar service, so all you need to do is celebrate. Alternatively, we can deliver to your venue, set up your feast and leave you to be the host with the most!  

 

 

Our Experience

We are as happy catering a countryside wedding, as we are a huge picnic in the grounds of a stately home, Christmas canapes and cocktails at your home, or an office party on a London rooftop. Our experience and passion for events means we can adapt to whatever setting you have in mind, or alternatively help you find one. We provide all the equipment and have a network of excellent suppliers.

Where

We are based in rural Berkshire. Whilst the majority of our events are in the nearby counties of Berkshire Hampshire and Oxfordshire, we are happy to travel further afield and regularly cater for events in London and beyond.

Whilst we are based in beautiful rural West Berkshire, we are very happy to travel. For some of our past events have travelled to roof top offices in central London for a Christmas canape party, to a stately home in Northampton for a fabulous wedding weekend and to a Gloucestershire farm for a Bollywood Style 50th and 21st epic birthday celebration. We regularly cater at venues in Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire and are just as happy working in your own home or a catering marquee in a field!

How we work

It all begins with chat about your ideas and your plans for your event. We then put some tailor-made menus together. We will talk through your likes and dislikes, the style of the event and the practical elements like the venue and facilities. And we don’t just talk food, we might suggest some fabulous cocktails with a twist, a great way to start any event!

Once we have agreed your choices, the tasting begins! This is the fun bit where you get to sample and make sure you are happy with your decisions.

On the day

We arrive in good time and set up well in advance. Rest assured the champagne will be chilled and ready to serve when your guests arrive. Throughout the event staff are on hand to serve, clear and help wherever necessary and always with a smile. And there’s no clearing up for you. We will leave your kitchen spotless, and even ensure there are a few bottles of wine on hand for you to help yourself to at the end of the night!

Bar and drinks service

Our sister company The Merry Bar can supply and run your bar and drinks service from start to finish. If you would like to supply your own drinks then we are happy to serve these for you.

Venue suggestions

we are very happy to serve your feast in your own home or garden, but if you would like to celebrate elsewhere, we have a list of fabulous local venues, from stately homes to rustic barns.

Trusted party suppliers

We work with some of the best in the business – from marquee suppliers, to party planners, to florists and photographers

Equipment hire

We can hire in all the necessary equipment for your party – we will arrange for it to be delivered to site and collected again after the event.

Washing and clearing up

Check!!! All of that sorted!! It’s the last thing you want to think about!

We can cater for all dietary requirements and allergens. We need to be informed of all in advance and can tailor make as necessary.

We cover all dietary requirements and ensure they are catered for without compromising any flavour. Just let us know what you need, and we will design the menus around it.

We happily cater for all dietary requirements and offer a wide range of vegetarian, vegan, gluten free items on all of our menus so you can cater to each and every one of your guests. During our chats with you about your menu we also ensure we are aware of any allergies, so we can ensure we work around these requirements.

Covid – 19 Policy

The Merry Kitchen will work with the event host and venue to ensure all requirements regarding hygiene, food service and social distancing are met.
All staff will take lateral flow tests the day before the event and will only be allowed to work if a negative test is shown.
Staff will be asked if they show any symptoms the day of the event and will be asked not to work if they do.
Staff will wear masks were necessary, dependent upon style/situation of service.
Staff will wash hands regularly and will use anti bac hand sanitiser.
