Spring & Summer Party Feasting Menu

The Fabulous Feast

Slow cooked Mediterranean Lam

Lamb shoulder cooked till it melts in the mouth with Mediterranean tomatoes, peppers, garlic & courgettes, finished with a mint and basil pesto. GF. Served hot.

Vietnamese Salmon
Individual salmon portions flavoured and gently roasted with a fresh and spicy Vietnamese paste, served on an Asian spicy slaw. Pescatarian. GF. Served cold.

Moroccan Chicken with preserved lemon and garden herbs
Mix of chicken breast and thighs, braised with Moroccan spices, white wine, olives and preserved lemons, topped with garden herbs. GF. Serve hot.

Malaysian Squash and Lentil Curry
Sweet and spicy flavours with veges and red lentils, in a light coconut and lime juice sauce, garnished with fresh coriander. Vegan. GF. Serve hot.

Luxury Chicken Caesar Salad
Roasted chicken served in a salad of kale and garden leaves, with sourdough croutons, crispy bacon lardons, parmesan shavings and a homemade Caesar salad, finished with a sprinkle of garden herbs. Can be served with falafel instead of chicken and bacon for vegetarian. Serve cold.

Spanish pork with red peppers
Slowly cooked pork loin with paprika, shallots and white wine, served with roasted red peppers and oregano. GF. Served hot.
Rare fillet of beef with salsa Verde
A classic fillet of beef, cooked rare and served with a punchy salsa Verde on a watercress salad. GF. Serve cold.

Goats cheese, parsley and tomato quiche
With shortcrust pasty, a rich cream, leek and mozzarella filling with goats cheese, parsley and baby plum tomatoes. Vegetarian. Serve room temp.

Watermelon, feta and rocket salad, with candied pecans – GF

Heritage tomato and mozzarella salad, with salsa verde drizzle – GF

Summer tabbouleh, with bulgar wheat, tomatoes, cucumber, parsley & a lime dressing

Panzanella Salad – Italian rustic ingredients of tomatoes, capers, basil and sourdough croutons

Grilled peach, prosciutto and summer greens salad, with balsamic vinegar dressing – GF

Jersey royal Salad, with fresh pesto, garden herbs, nasturtiums – GF

Roasted Asian spicy slaw with sesame and thai sweet chilli sauce dressing. GF.

Potato, Celeriac and spinach gratin, baked in cream & garlic – serve hot. GF.

Spring veg & cous cous with garden herb dressing – serve hot or cold

Dark Chocolate and Sea Salt Ganache Tart
Very rich, very dark, very lovely!

Lemon & Ginger Panna cotta
Flavoured with lemon verbena, finished with crystalised ginger and served with ginger crisps. GF

Baked Peaches & Plums
Gently baked in cinnamon and served with a cinnamon & walnut granola and mascarpone cream.

Citrus Cheesecake
Crunchy ginger base, with a creamy citrus filling and topped with caramelised citrus slices.

A Naughty Summer Fruit Salad
A fabulous bowl of summer berries and fruit – some naked, some covered in white and dark chocolate, topped with mint sprigs and flowers and with a bowls of whipped cream and chocolate ganache for dipping! GF

The details

Drinks 

Our sister company The Merry Bar, can help you with the all-important drinks service for your event. We have trade accounts with trusted suppliers, from breweries to wine merchants to local gin producers so you can be sure your bar will be fully stocked with high quality supplies for your guests. We chat with you beforehand about what you would like served, we can arrange for a few bottles for you to taste too, we then arrange the bar stock, set up the bar at your event and run it as you wish us to, whether that be as free flowing and unlimited, or if you wish to run it as a cash bar. If you would prefer to supply your own supplies and we set up and run it for you, then we are very happy to do that too, and you just pay for the cost of the bar staff.

Our suppliers are hugely important to us at The Merry Kitchen. It is really important for us to aim to work with local and small businesses whenever possible. We aim to be sustainable wherever possible and are always looking for new ways to fulfil these targets.

Covid – 19 Policy

The Merry Kitchen will work with the event host and venue to ensure all requirements regarding hygiene, food service and social distancing are met.
All staff will take lateral flow tests the day before the event and will only be allowed to work if a negative test is shown.
Staff will be asked if they show any symptoms the day of the event and will be asked not to work if they do.
Staff will wear masks were necessary, dependent upon style/situation of service.
Staff will wash hands regularly and will use anti bac hand sanitiser.
